Our Part

• We only use paper made with recycled post-consumer waste (PCW) or made without trees (made with hemp or kenaf, etc.) and we use vegetable-based inks whenever possible.
• We deliver our products by foot or bicycle locally.
• All of our electricity is generated by wind power.
• We offset carbon dioxide generated by shipping by buying carbon credits.
• We buy as locally as possible to avoid shipping long distances and to support our local economy.
• We donate at least 1% of our sales to charities.
• We constantly strive to lessen our impact on the earth.

SHIPPING

• We only ship via ground or U.S. Postal, whichever makes the most sense based on package weight, because it creates less pollution and let's face it, no one's life is on the line here.
• You will only be charged estimated shipping costs (no handling.) Unfortunately, until your package is packed we won't know ACTUAL shipping so sometimes we make money on the shipping and sometimes we lose. We figure it all works out in the end.
• We only ship using materials that are recycled, recyclable or fully biodegradable. Any plastic or foam we use is second-hand reuse. Please take any styrofoam to a local mail services store for reuse.
• We do not ship internationally or outside of the continental U.S. because it creates too much pollution and we believe everyone should try to buy as locally as possible.
